Yo, welcome. I'm a fantasy author out of Toronto. My thing is bridging the gap between western fantasy and the manga / light novel storytelling that got me into reading in the first place. My friends have learned not to ask what I'm reading unless they've got 30 minutes to spare for me to explain why this random magic system is actually peak fiction.

Here's the thing though — I don't just consume this stuff, I study it. What makes a magic system actually satisfying? Why does one power scaling feel earned while another feels like the author just made it up on the spot? How do the best worldbuilders make you forget you're reading fiction? That's what I'm here to figure out and share.

I'm deep in the Sanderson rabbit hole — Cosmere is genuinely insane — plus James Islington, Evan Winter, and basically anything where the author actually thought about how magic would shape a society. Lord of the Mysteries lives rent-free in my head (if you know, you know). Anime-wise, Naruto and Bleach raised me. Chakra vs Reiatsu debates? I'm there.
