Ongoing dark progression fantasy
The Talker
The Talker follows Zane Zareth as he learns to use a power the immortal Court cannot safely ignore. He’s spent years hiding under a false name, rehearsing cover stories and knowing exactly where the exits are. Eventually, he’d like to enter a room without doing that.
What begins as survival becomes a cultivation journey with Whisper, a living weapon growing alongside him. The training is brutal, the fights keep getting bigger, and Zane has a habit of finding out what he can do while someone much stronger is trying to kill him.
Somewhere between the bad jokes, the blood loss and Whisper’s increasingly unreasonable weapon forms, he starts building a life he actually wants to stay for.

Before you start
Begin with Zane trying to keep a false identity intact in Riven. His story grows into cultivation, a partnership with a living weapon, and a fight against the Court. Expect violence, trauma, humour, and a protagonist who makes costly mistakes.

Debtday
I'd lied to a god, and she knew it.
Vera Ashcroft's smile didn't waver, but a sharp awareness shifted behind her eyes, the way a predator's ears prick at a sound in the brush. The Chronarchy pendant at her throat pulsed once, twice, reading my soul's resonance like a barcode.
"Interesting," she said.
The penthouse wrapped around me like a sanitized cage. Debtday. The worst day of the span for uninvited guests. Outside, Riven's perpetual rain drummed against the floor-to-ceiling windows, and thirty floors below, Meridian glowed with the same cold corporate light it always had.
